This was my favorite image out of all the variations I did. I played around with proportions, colors, and making things not as neat. It was fun to just go for it! To just reiterate what my image is about the bottom half is me listening to music and the emotions I feel such as happiness. contentness and sadness. The upper half of the image is the women artists I listen to such as Stevie Nicks (who is above everyone because she's a goddess), Lana Del Rey, Soccer Mommy, and Phoebe Bridgers. These women have been super influential on my life and how I cope with certain events- like the one we are in now so I just wanted to make a fun piece about them and their music.

Final Variation 1
I've been struggling with what to come up with for the final project. Here is what I have so far but I will keep playing around and it may end up being something completely different lol. My idea right now is about the music that has been helping through quarantine and isolation. I chose the women artists that inspire me and they are who are surrounding me. The ghost on top of me is from a Phoebe Bridgers album cover.

VSN Final image
I am feeling like this image is pretty resolved. I changed the closed eyes at the top/took a better picture of myself and added some clouds to fill the top space better, from my last variation. This piece shows the visual narrative of dreams and reality. The top portion with the closed eyes represents the dream state with clouds, moons, stars and tree spirits from an anime film I like. The bottom half, with the eyes open represents the reality we face with empty streets/cities and isolation.

VSN Variation 3
I am feeling like I like this direction. With the focus still being on dreams, so the eyes closed at the top (both sets of eyes are actually mine) represent the dream state with the moons, clouds, stars and the dream guys (tree spirits from one of my favorite anime films). And the second half represents what happens when you wake (with the eyes open at the bottom), with the empty streets and isolation (related to the pandemic).

Visual Sequential Narrative
Here is what I have so far for Project 4. When I think of Visual Sequential Narrative, I immediately thought of dreams. I wanted to create the space that I see in my dreams and how those dreams progress. Somehow, to show the progression of time I want to also include waking up from dreams- which is the black fuzziness on the edges-to represent the dream fading.
